Are You a P.R.O.?

We have re-structured our program to reflect our re-dedication and focus on the basic fundamentals with situational baseball awareness! The area of critical importance is the ability to perform these skills on the game field. Our approach includes re-instituting the physical training and agility program which has been a paramount component to our organization.  Athletes will be tested every 6-8 weeks to monitor improvement.  This will also ensure they are held accountable to the process and take OWNERSHIP in their development. We are excited to introduce our “Peak Performance” mental preparedness program which will be augmented monthly by Darnell McDonald, Chicago Cubs Mental Skills Coordinator and other guest instructors at the discretion of owner/operator of Extreme Baseball, and current Professional Scout, Donzell McDonald.

Parents are an integral part of the development process and will be included in the individual development program created specifically for every athlete in our organization.  Parent clinics will be mandatory so parents may better understand the EXB development process, know what their athlete is working on each practice, and gain understanding of drills provided by EXB, to be completed daily at home. Practicing twice a week is not enough for the ballplayer who has aspirations for high school and beyond. Players will be expected to complete video assignments at home and will be tested at practice for understanding via written test and/or teach back, and always execution. Those that fail to complete daily workouts (show zero physical progress), fail to complete assignments (show zero understanding of position responsibilities) and fail to adhere to the organizational philosophy will not be allowed to continue with this program.

All Rangers teams are coached by current and former professional players. Our coaches are vetted extensively and are on board with the EXB developmental philosophy and strategy. Head coaches will be assigned permanently to one team so individual learning styles of each athlete is known and incorporated into instruction. Our goal is to develop our players for high school baseball, including scout teams, and ultimately entry into college baseball and beyond.  Teams generally practice 2X per week (North Central / Northwest Valley areas) and play in tournaments within their current ability levels.  (USSSA / Perfect Game / Prospect Wire). If your player is ready for showcases our Fall Scout team may be of interest. Our intent is to field competitive teams that display high baseball IQ in front of the right audience that promotes opportunities beyond high school. This program is about showcasing our athlete’s skills that players, parents, and coaches have worked together to achieve.  We also provide college recruiting services for players desiring a competitive edge. Coach McDonald is experienced in these services and has many resources within collegiate/MLB baseball.

If you are looking for an environment for your athlete to increase technical proficiency, display baseball IQ, be around other athletes with the same mission, and play competitive baseball, the Rangers may be a great fit for your player.   If your athlete has PASSION for the game of baseball and is willing to submit to a proven developmental process with a RELENTLESS approach and is ready to take OWNERSHIP in his baseball career, this organization may be a perfect fit for your player.  If this environment appeals to you, and your athlete, please fill out and submit the tryout link below.  See you at the yard!
